WHY DOES ILLUSTRATOR HAVE STUPID BANDING?!
God I hate stupid banding. it’s when instead of a smooth blend it shows jumps of tone/colour, as though “bands” are laid down one after another changing slightly with each one, hence the name. you can see it if you enlarge the screenshots.
And yes this is in the same illustrator window. But one gradient was made within illustrator as a fill and the other was a png made in GIMP with the exact colours colourpicked and then imported in. Image was also exactly the same size as the square that had the banding.
